Football Brownies Recipe

Football Brownies

These Football Brownies are rich, fudgy, and coated with smooth chocolate ganache, then decorated with white chocolate “stitching” for the ultimate game-day dessert. A family favorite that combines nostalgia, flavor, and fun!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix (18.3 oz)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 1/3 cup hot coffee (or hot water)
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips (or candy melts for piping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, greasing lightly.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, hot coffee, and egg until just combined.

3. Pour batter into the pan and spread evenly; bake for 20 minutes or until edges are set and center is slightly soft.

4. Cool completely in the pan for at least 45 minutes.

5. Cut brownies into football shapes using a cookie cutter or cardboard template.

6. Freeze shaped brownies for 10–15 minutes to firm before decorating.

7. To make ganache: heat cream until hot (not boiling), pour over chocolate chips, and let sit 3–4 minutes. Whisk until smooth.

8. Dip tops of brownies in ganache, letting excess drip off, then place on parchment to set.

9. Melt white chocolate in 30-second microwave intervals and transfer to a piping bag.

10. Pipe football stitching on each brownie and chill for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

• For thicker brownies, use a smaller pan (8×8 or 9×9).

• Use sugar-free or gluten-free brownie mix if preferred.

• Substitute applesauce for oil to reduce fat.

• Add espresso powder for deeper chocolate flavor.

• Chill dipped brownies before piping for cleaner designs.
